GenTree Genealogy is owned and run by Lorraine Corbinzolu PG Dip.
Born and raised a ‘Yellow Belly’ in rural Lincolnshire, I adopted Leicestershire as 'home' for 30 years but eventually returned to Lincolnshire and swapped a career in Project Management for a new role in the world of Genealogy, my hobby for over 20 years. I now hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Genealogy, Palaeography and Heraldic Studies from the University of Strathclyde.
As well as undertaking genealogy work for clients and doing research for local heritage projects I also work within heritage organisations in both Lincolnshire and Staffordshire and am a Steward at the Lincolnshire Family History Society.

Although born in Lincolnshire, my own family history is deeply rooted in the coalfields of northern England and WW2 was the catalyst that brought both branches of my family to land in ‘Bomber County’. Researching my own family in Yorkshire and the North East uncovered family bibles and diaries revealing two ancestors who worked as homeopathic doctors curing cancer in the 19th Century, and the search for an errant Great Grandfather led to a journey that revealed many fascinating stories providing surprise, amusement and more than a little heartbreak.
Recent discoveries include pioneering ancestors in the 18th Century 'Yorkshire Migration' unwittingly involved in the American War of Independence.
Each new person researched brings different adventures and stories, and allows us to understand the miracle of our own existence within the context of what has gone before.
I am well placed to carry out research throughout many areas of the UK and can assist with any project, large or small, from checking your existing research to helping you take your first steps into discovering your own family mysteries.
